My Experience with American Airlines During the 2021 Travel Surge
I’d like to share a personal experience I had with American Airlines last year during the summer travel surge in 2021. As travel demand skyrocketed post-pandemic, American Airlines faced significant operational challenges, including flight delays and cancellations due to staff shortages and weather disruptions. I found myself stuck at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for nearly 12 hours, navigating rebooking and dealing with the uncertainty. This situation made headlines as American Airlines, like many others, struggled to cope with the sudden influx of passengers. What about you? Have you had similar experiences? How do you think airlines can better prepare for such surges in the future?
