Talk about divine timing—on April 16, a pilot experienced a catastrophic engine failure after departing from Stead, Nevada. But luck was on his side: the aircraft was flying over none other than Hallelujah Junction in California. With quick thinking and some serious skill, the pilot managed to glide safely onto a dirt road near Scott Road. A nearby CHP Quincy officer assisted, helping move the aircraft off the roadway. No injuries were reported.
