✈️📶 American Airlines to Offer Free In-Flight Wi-Fi Starting 2026
Starting January 2026, American Airlines will provide free in-flight Wi-Fi to loyalty program members. Previously charging up to $20 per flight, the airline is catching up with competitors like Delta, JetBlue, and United, who already offer complimentary internet access.
The free Wi-Fi service will be sponsored by AT&T and powered by Viasat and Intelsat, with installations planned for over 500 regional jets by the end of 2025.
“Our customers greatly value staying connected,” said Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American. This move reflects the growing expectation for connectivity at 30,000 feet.
