A tragic small plane crash in Polk County, Tennessee claimed three lives, including the father and grandparents of MTSU golfer Carter Maneth. The Mooney M20 aircraft went down in a remote part of Cherokee National Forest while en route to a golf tournament. Over 24 rescue teams struggled to access the crash site due to difficult terrain. The NTSB is investigating and seeking eyewitness accounts.
