The wildlife strike happened as UA2325 with 159 people on board was taking off to Edmonton on Sunday.
"There was a loud bang and a significant vibration in the plane we proceeded to still climb," passenger Scott Wolff said.
The pilots quickly responded to the engine issue with the plane landing safely about 75 minutes later
